After a lengthy period with limited possibilities due to Covid restrictions, we were recently in a position to organise another Purchasing Training Course at Plantion.
So, on Tuesday morning, 28 September, participants in this course were able to discover all the purchasing opportunities that Plantion has to offer. Our main reason for running this course was to introduce colleagues to Plantion’s various purchasing options in an accessible way. Participants were actually able to practice making clock auction purchases.
A total of 33 participants turned up on the day, with each one having their own reasons for taking part. For example, if someone currently buys through other channels, they could familiarise themselves with auction purchasing, or learn more about their employer’s purchases at Plantion’s clock auctions. As a result, buyer employees can now also handle purchases on the Plantion clock in the case of unexpected circumstances.
All purchasing options were covered: clock auction, distance selling, clock presales, Plantion Digital Marketplace and the Wholesale centre. An auction purchase order allowed them to feel like a real buyer for a while, with a happy winner eventually emerging from this practice session!
The delivery service that Plantion provides together with B&M Couriers was also discussed. Freshly bought in the morning, these goods are already in Dutch shops by 4 p.m. the same day! Attendees found this extremely interesting as well. We concluded the training course with a guided tour and a delicious lunch.
All participants also found out more about smart and fresh shopping!
