Floréda Brings Together Inspiration, Purchasing and Craftsmanship

News
7 October 2026

From 4 to 6 October, the second edition of Floréda took place at Plantion in Ede. During the three-day purchasing and inspiration event, florists, garden centres, market traders and other green professionals came together to find inspiration, discover new products and purchase items for autumn and the festive season.

With its central location in the Netherlands and a wide range of suppliers and exhibitors gathered in one place, Floréda offers an accessible purchasing opportunity for green professionals. Visitors could explore seasonal flowers and plants, accessories and other products for their autumn range. There were also various special offers and new products to discover.

From organic flowers to AI in practice

Alongside purchasing, inspiration was also a key focus. Wilderful showcased organic flowers, while Smithers-Oasis gave demonstrations featuring the OASIS® BIOLIT® BIO ‘Less Is More’ programme, helping florists save up to 30% while continuing to make the most of their craftsmanship. Bon Vivant demonstrated how AI can be applied in practice, while Albert Haverman introduced visitors to Floral Profit. Visitors could also take part in a Plantion course on buying at the auction clock.

A new feature of this edition was the Floréda Cup, a competition specially designed for floristry students from vocational and private education. Students worked with the theme ‘Into Fall’ and created a free-form floral design using warm autumn colours and characteristic seasonal materials. For the competition, students worked with at least two blocks of OASIS® Renewal®.

The entries were judged by the public. Participants also received personal feedback from certified judge Erika Oldenhof. Fenne Peters was named the winner of the first Floréda Cup. Floréda also hosted the annual education day for vocational and private floristry educators. During the day, education professionals explored current developments and topics in the industry, with the aim of incorporating this knowledge into their teaching.

A central autumn event for the trade
With more than 800 visitors, the organisers look back on a successful second edition of Floréda. The combination of purchasing, inspiration, demonstrations, professional knowledge and networking makes Floréda a comprehensive event for professionals preparing for the autumn and festive season.

“With the autumn edition, we once again wanted to create a place where visitors could not only come to purchase, but also find new inspiration and meet fellow professionals. The Floréda Cup was a great addition to the event. The enthusiasm of the students and visitors made it even more enjoyable to see their work,” the organisers say.

The next edition of Floréda is scheduled for the first weekend of March 2027 and will start on Sunday, 7 March, at Plantion in Ede. Further details about the programme will be announced at a later date.

Floréda is an initiative of Plantion, Groothandelscentrum Plantion, Smithers-Oasis and VBW. With the slogan ‘Right in the heart of the floral business’, Floréda aims to provide a central and accessible industry event for green professionals.
