Supply tips
Smart supply starts with insight
Supply at Plantion varies by day, season and product group. With the right insights into peak and quieter periods, you can better plan your supply and respond to buyer demand.
On this page, you’ll find practical insights and key points to help you optimise your supply.
Seasonal peaks
In summer, the focus shifts to garden and patio plants. In autumn, demand increases again for houseplants and seasonal products, followed by Christmas greenery and winter assortments towards the end of the year.
Best moments
It can also be strategic to supply on quieter days, allowing your products to stand out more within the available assortment.
Plantion supply managers
Plantion’s supply managers form the link between growers, market demand and the auction. They monitor supply, track demand and work closely with growers to ensure the assortment aligns as closely as possible with what buyers are looking for.
Supply and demand
At Plantion, supply managers work daily to align supply with demand. They monitor market developments, identify peak and low periods, and actively listen to buyers’ needs. Based on these insights, they advise on supply, assortment and timing.
This alignment helps growers bring their products to market at the right time and in the right way.
Every week, we assess market demand together and align available supply accordingly.
