Versatile purchasing from Plantion
Plantion has expanded its marketplace with De Kas (The Greenhouse), a Mediterranean-style showroom for both outdoor and indoor plants. The concept is innovative. Customers get fresh inspiration on a weekly basis. And they can order on the spot using QR codes. The Greenhouse was realised in a part of the Groencentrum (Green Centre). The Greenhouse offers an additional opportunity to purchase plants from Plantion and provides access to a wide range of products. In an attractively arranged area, florists, garden centres and other customers can ‘see, smell and feel’ flowers and plants and subsequently order them directly, thanks to QR codes. The customer can see whether an item is in stock in real time in the online shop (Plantion Digital Marketplace). If an ordered product is available in De Kas, the order is picked by our logistics department and immediately delivered to the loading number. Ordering is possible only through the online shop.
Mediterranean ambience
Plantion has given a lot of thought to the layout and design of De Kas. At the back of the space, the current range is presented in a stylish ‘inspiration greenhouse’. In front of it, Danish trolleys are set up with the advanced stock from the relevant growers, with QR codes. The Greenhouse will mostly feature larger and more exclusive varieties, supplemented with products that match the time of year. The Mediterranean ambiance, along with a seating area with excellent coffee and personal guidance by a Plantion employee, ensure that De Kas is that special place for inspiration.
Customer experiences
The innovative concept of combining a physical showroom with online ordering has been developed in association with plant suppliers RM Plants and Vireõ. Initially, Plantion will offer the range of products from these companies in The Greenhouse. Based on customer experiences, products from other growers will be added. Buyers experience a beautiful inspiring greenhouse, allowing them to directly see, smell, feel and order. From Friday afternoon 5 pm, it is also possible to order newly arrived plants for Monday through PDM ‘De Kas’. These are then delivered on Monday morning.
Plantion offers growers and buyers a great extra buying/selling opportunity through ‘De Kas’.
