In order to keep the cask pool healthy, as of Monday, 15 January 2024, the deposit for flower box Fc519 will change from €3 to €5. To implement this change, we are introducing a new cask code (Fc520) and a ‘re-stickering’ campaign was started up. Find out in this article what this means for you and how you can best anticipate this change. In addition to the deposit change, we are also introducing a new design next spring.
The re-stickering campaign will take place at all physical hubs of Royal FloraHolland and also at Rhein-Maas Auction and Plantion. We will definitely need the help of all Fc519 users as well. That’s why we call for extra attention to the campaigns. Please be prepared for the re-stickering campaign to ensure a smooth transition together.

Preparation by Fc519 chain users
To ensure a smooth transition in January 2024, we are asking Fc519 users to return any excess supplies of Fc519 as soon as possible. We recommend that exporters and wholesalers inform their customers now about the upcoming transition, including a call to return any unnecessary stock as soon as possible.
For suppliers, it is important at least from the beginning of January 2024 to strictly control any Fc519 stock and reduce it as much as possible toward the transition date (15 January 2024). Starting Monday, 8 January, you can pick up Fc520 boxes at our cask warehouses, so you can easily switch to Fc520 from 15 January onwards. During this transition period, please pay close attention to filling in the correct cask code on the supply letter associated with the box you are using: Fc519 or Fc520.
Short transition period
Our goal is to have the Clock and Direct supply completely switched to Fc520 as of Monday, 15 January 2024. During the week of 15 January 2024, you can still bring in any leftover Fc519. Make sure that you supply a single type of box for each lot and, of course, with the correct box code. After this transition week, we will not allow further supply of Fc519 and will enforce accordingly. This allows us to keep the transition period as short as possible for all parties in the chain.
For subturn users of Fc519, we recommend switching to the 80cm long subturn box Fc523 as soon as possible. Then you immediately benefit from the 25% loading advantage. This ensures that all Fc519 boxes now circulating in the subturn pool will flow into the regular cask pool. This contributes to a smooth transition from Fc519 to Fc520.
New design
Another part of the deposit transition is the development of a completely new print of the Fc519 (soon to be Fc520). We are developing these in close cooperation with the Chryson Foundation, FPC Chrysanthemum and Concept Factory, among others. More communication on this news will follow, and soon we will be able to show the final colourful design.
